About Susan Robeno

Susan, a born and bred New Yorker, relocated to North Carolina in 2007, where she  lived until March 2016. She now currently lives in Philadelphia, PA and is excited to begin a new chapter in her life .  She has had an interest in photography for many years, beginning with film photography. It wasn't until the purchase of a DSLR camera that Susan decided to take her photography to a new level.

She considers herself to fall in one of three categories in what she enjoys shooting: Urban Decay, Architecture and Travel photography. Although these are her favorite subjects, she is also known to take portraits, flora/fauna, landscape, and anything else that she finds interesting.  On the abstract side, she also loves to shoot reflections, shadows, and geometric lines.

Completing photography courses at the Friday Center at UNC Chapel Hill, Durham Technical Community College and at the Jennifer Weinberg Photography Studio has only whet her appetite to continue her photography. She completed 2 years (2013-2014) of her 365 Project, which, as the name implies, is going out to shoot a photo every day.

She has exhibited and sold her works at local venues, as well as Through This Lens Gallery in Durham, North Carolina, YesterYears Brewery in Carrboro, North Carolina and the Litmus Gallery and Studios in Raleigh, North Carolina. Susan was awarded 1st Place at the First Annual Peace Camera Print Contest. Most recently, Susan photographed the Dillon Launch Party at the Dillon Supply Company in Raleigh, NC.
